England Captain, Harry Kane, has emerged the fastest player to reach 100 Bundesliga goals as his brace was helpful in Bayern Munich’s 7-0 thump of Union Berlin in the top flight match at Allianz Arena on Friday 18 September, 2026.
Michael Olise, France winger, was impressive on Friday night as he netted a hat-trick for Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians. Also, goals from Jamal Musiala and Ismael Saibari ensured the home side finished with a clean sheet.
The outcome in Munich means Bayern have maintained their unbeaten start to the new season.
German midfielder, Musiala, found the back of the net first for the hosts in the 18th minute with Alphonso Davies’ assist before Kane made it two (2) in the 39th minute from the penalty spot.
Bayern were awarded the penalty after Olise was taken down by Tom Rothe in the area.
Kane’s goal from the spot was his 100th in the Bundesliga; he attained the feat in ninety-eight (98) games, fewer than any other player in the history of the German top flight.
Olise converted Musiala’s assist in the 43rd minute to make it three (3), and, after the break, in the 54th minute, Kane made it four (4) with an assist from Olise.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward now has a whopping total of 101 Bundesliga goals.
Saibari netted the fifth in the 70th minute, it was his first goal for the defending champions since joining from PSV Eindhoven in 2026, and Olise score a double in the 73rd and 76th minutes, both goals assisted by Tom Bischof.
In his post-match comments, Kane told Sky Germany: “I’m very proud to reach 101 Bundesliga goals.
“To have more goals than games is obviously a great stat to have.”
