Usyk sends ‘Good Luck’ message to Joshua ahead of fight against Prenga

Ukrainian heavyweight boxer, Oleksandr Usyk, has sent “Good Luck” message to British heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, ahead of his fight against Kristian Prenga on Saturday night.

Via X, the Cat encouraged Joshua to go to the ring and “do what you came to do”.

Anthony Joshua and Kristian Prenga will fight on Saturday 25 July, 2026 at Jeddah Superdome in Saudi Arabia.

The fight is set to be an emotional return to the ring for the Brit.

The main event on Saturday marks the former British heavyweight champ’s first fight since he survived a car accident while travelling along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Nigeria last December.

The unfortunate incident claimed the lives of two of his closest friends and members of his training team.

Usyk wrote: “Good luck tonight @anthonyjoshua. I know how much work you have put into preparing for this fight. Now go out there and do what you came to do. Respect always!”

Albanian professional boxer, Prenga, has a solid record of twenty (20) professional victories by knockouts and just one (1) defeat; the fight against Joshua will definitely be the toughest for the 35-year old fighter based in New Jersey.

The fight is a must-win for Joshua as it will lay the groundwork for a long-anticipated all-British heavyweight clash with Tyson Fury, “The Gypsy King”.

Prenga will certainly be eyeing to pull off a major shock on Saturday night in the bout against Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion.
