Chelsea suffered their third loss of the Premier League 2026/27 after falling 0-2 to Tottenham Hotspur in the top flight match on Saturday 24 October, 2026 at Stamford Bridge.

Tottenham’s opener was a gift from their hosts. Mike Penders, Blues goalkeeper, punched the ball into his own net and former Bayern Munich French forward, Mathys Tel, sealed it up for the visitors.

Antonin Kinsky, Tottenham goalkeeper, made crucial saves to deny Cole Palmer, Jordan Henderson and Morgan Rogers.

In the 77th minute, Belgian goalie, Penders, helped the Spurs take the lead against his side after hitting the back of his own net; and late, in the 87th minute, Tel netted the second to hand Tottenham Hotspur all three (3) points.

Via X, Tottenham described its victory over Chelsea right inside Stamford Bridge as “glorious”.

Penders punched a corner by Mateus Fernandes into his own net under pressure from Spurs centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke.

The night moved from bad to worse in the 80th minute after English attacking midfielder, Palmer, was shown his second yellow card for standing on Conor Gallagher in a tackle.
