Women’s Super League (WSL) 2025/26 Champions, Manchester City, have completed the signing of England international, Beth Mead, on a deal that will keep the forward at the Club until 2029.
The English versatile forward moved to Manchester City from fellow Women’s Super League (WSL) Club, Arsenal; Mead won the WSL title with Arsenal alongside three (3) League Cups and a UEFA Champions League across nine (9) seasons.
The 31-year old England National Team player spent most of her time in North London out wide and holds the record for the most assists in the history of the WSL.
She also fielded for Sunderland where she emerged the WSL’s youngest Golden Boot winner at just twenty (20).
On the international scene, Mead has helped her country, England, be crowned European Champions in 2022 and 2025. The Manchester City new number seven (7) was very pivotal for England’s success at the Euro 2022, finishing as top scorer, top assister and Player of the Tournament.
So far, Mead has eighty-one (81) senior England caps, and scored forty (40) goals.
According to Manchester City official website, following the signing of her new deal, Mead said: “I’m very proud to be here. Obviously, City had an amazing season last year and I am excited to start a new chapter here.
“I think the way City plays suits me really well, and I feel like it can get something extra out of my game.”

“She’s shown what it takes to consistently perform on the kind of big stages we want to regularly be competing at, so she’ll be a brilliant addition to our already impressive squad of players.”
For the first time in the history of Manchester City, the Club clinched a WSL and FA Cup double in 2025/26, the reigning Queens are aiming to continue on that success in the season ahead.
