Chelsea 2-2 Hull City: Joao Pedro rescues point for Blues at home

Joao Pedro, Brazilian striker, found a leveller for Chelsea in the second half of the Premier League game against Hull City on Saturday 12 September, 2026 at Stamford Bridge.

Pedro’s goal ensure Xabi Alonso’s Blues clinched a point from the contest.

Chelsea netted first early, in the 7th minute, when Pedro, current Premier League Player of the Month, provided for Morgan Rogers, who converted, however, the visitors shocked their hosts after taking the lead with two (2) goals before the break.

Mohamed Belloumi netted a brace for The Tigers in the 28th and 34th minutes.

English attacking midfielder, Rogers, netted the opener for the Blues after manoeuvring past Matt Crooks before shooting a shot with his left foot past Hull City goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis.

The England Senior National Team player moved to Stamford Bridge on a £117m deal from Aston Villa. His goal was the first conceded by the Premier League newly promoted side this season.

Pedro fired a left-foot leveller inside the near post after an outstanding low cross from the left by Cole Palmer in the 66th minute.

Chelsea never relented on their search for the winner after Pedro levelled, with Palmer’s and James’ shots from the edge of the box almost handed the home side maximum points, while, a fine effort late from Rogers was saved by goalie Tzolakis.

With this result, Hull City are third with eight (8) points, while, Chelsea trail, on the 4th spot, with seven (7) points, both after four (4) games each.

The Tigers remain unbeaten.
