Former Super Eagles defensive midfielder, Sunday Oliseh, has reacted to the World Cup clash between Brazil and Morocco which ended 1-1 on Saturday night.
In his reaction on X, Oliseh described Morocco’s performance as “impressive”, saying, the North African side were “well structured” both in defense and offense.
At the MetLife Stadium, New Jersey, New York City, AFCON 2025 Champions, Morocco, stunned five-time World Cup winners, Brazil, when they took the lead in the 21st minute through Ismael Saibari, but, the Green-Yellow levelled in the 32nd minute through Vinicius Junior to share the spoils.
The former Super Eagles of Nigeria head coach (2015-2016) opined, with an Osimhen or a Lookman in the team of the Atlas Lions, the Brazilians would have fallen by “3 goals to 1 at worst”.
The former manager of Eredivisie Club, Fortuna Sittard, expressed his “love” for the Moroccan team as he described Brazil’s performance in the game on Saturday as “deceptive”.
Oliseh reacted: “Impressive performance by this Moroccan side, defensively and offensively well structured. Had this team had “Victor Osimhen or Ademola Lookman” like players versus Brazil, they could have won by 3 goals to 1 at worst.
“Brazil looking deceptive and Thank God they had Vinicius jr and Raphinha. I loved the Belief and evolution from the Moroccans.”
