‘My pact with Osun people unbreakable’ – Governor Adeleke lists several projects nearing completion across the State

Ademola Adeleke, Executive Governor of Osun State, has listed the several projects that are close to completion across the Southwestern State.

The Governor said, his “pact” with the people of Osun State is “unbreakable”.

Adeleke joined the “ecstatic” crowd of residents to officially flag off the second phase of the ongoing dualisation of Osogbo – Ikirun – Ila Odo, Kwara state boundary road.

He said, the first phase of the project which was awarded in 2012 was completed after assuming office in November 2022.

Taking to his official X account, Governor Adeleke said: “My pact with Osun people is unbreakable!

“Today in Ila Orangun, I was warmly received by our people as we flagged off the dualisation of the Ila Township Road. Joined by my Deputy, the Speaker, and other top government officials, the overwhelming support reminded me of the sacred trust I hold — a bond with the people of Osun that remains unbreakable.

“I listed several projects across the state nearing completion by our administration, in addition to completing over 200km of road construction and rehabilitation. Key projects progressing steadily include:•Ilesa dualisation – 78%•Ile-Ife flyover – 75%•Oke-Fia flyover – 95%•LAMECO flyover – 55%•Oke Gada bridge – 100%•1.5KM roads across all LGAs – nearly done

“In Ila specifically, we have completed:•2KM of Oba Jinsin/Ita Obajoko road•Ogunlade–Kamila Junction road•Ajagunla Street•1.8KM of Aregun–Ogunlolu road

“We have now commenced the first phase of the 3.5KM dualisation of Ila Township Road, set for completion in 10 months. Additionally, the rehabilitation of Ila–Ora–Oke Ila road is well underway, now reaching Oke Ila junction.

“Also at Ikirun, Ifelodun local government, I joined the ecstatic crowd of residents as we perform the official flag off of the second phase of the ongoing dualisation of Osogbo – Ikirun – Ila Odo, Kwara state boundary road.

“I re-echoed my pact, made when I assumed office in November 2022 — to serve the people of Osun State come what may. I recalled that we were able to bring to completion the 1st phase of this dualization, which was awarded in 2012 aside other projects which were completed and commissioned within our 100 days in Office.

“The second phase, which we flagged off today, is almost the same length as what was completed in 12 years and I promised to deliver the project within the next 12 months.

“I thank our royal fathers for their warm welcome and continued support and offer special recognition to all the community leaders, political functionaries and the people for coming out to show their support and appreciation to our administration.

“We will not leave any project uncompleted. Together, we are building a new Osun — one community at a time.”
