American businessman, Elon Musk, is no longer a trillionaire, and someone else has emerged as the new third richest person on Planet Earth.
Nine (9) of the ten (10) richest people are Americans, according to American business magazine, Forbes.
Musk became a trillionaire in June, 2026 when SpaceX went public, however, that status quickly phased out when the once rising stocks of his rocker-maker Company fell and the Tesla Owner lost a massive $363 billion in July.
Larry Page, American businessman and former Google CEO, ranks second on the list after his wealth climbed upward by $1 billion, to an estimated $292 billion, as of August 1, 2026.
Musk is currently worth an estimated $690 billion.
Shares of SpaceX fell by 37% in July after soaring 67% above their IPO price in June.
A top winner of July was Jeff Bezos, whose fortune enlarged by $29 billion as shares of Amazon rose by 14%. That achievement helped Bezos emerge as the new third richest person. This is the first time he is attaining this rank since March.
Elon Musk sits comfortably as the richest person on Earth, a position he has held since May, 2024.
Bill Gates, American businessman and co-foundee of software company, Microsoft, dropped out of the top ten (10) richest list in October, 2024.
