Dutch Eredivisie Club, Ajax, have reached an agreement with German attacking midfielder, Julian Brandt. The versatile player was available on a free transfer.
Brandt put pen to paper on a three-year contract with Ajax Amsterdam, effective immediately and running until June 30, 2029.
The midfielder spent the past seven (7) seasons with German Bundesliga Club, Borussia Dortmund. Before fielding for the Black and Yellow, the Germany international played for Bayer Leverkusen for six (6) seasons, among other Clubs.
Ajax Technical Director, Jordi Cruijff, told the Club’s official website, the Amsterdammers are “delighted” to add Brandt to the team.
He described the midfielder as a “top player”, adding, he is bringing to Ajax his “wealth of experience” and “fantastic mentality”.
In his post-signing comments Cruijff said: “Julian has chosen Ajax, and we are absolutely delighted about that. We have been in talks for several months, and he also had the opportunity to sign for other clubs.
“With Julian, we are bringing in a top international player with a wealth of experience and a fantastic mentality. I am convinced he will add real quality to our squad.”
