Spanish La Liga Club, Real Madrid, and Premier League Club, Chelsea FC, have reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Spanish defender, Marc Cucurella, to Santiago Bernabeu.
The deal will keep the Spaniard in Madrid City for the next six (6) season, until June 30, 2032.
An official statement from Chelsea FC reads: “Marc Cucurella has completed a permanent transfer to Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid.”
The Spain left-back joined Chelsea in the summer of 2022 from English Club, Brighton and Hove Albion, and was a member of the team that clinched the Uefa Europa League and FIFA Club World Cup last year in the United States.
The Blues, guided by Coach Enzo Maresca, defeated French Club, Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG), 3-0, in the final to cart home the FIFA Club World Cup trophy.
On the international stage, Cucurella constantly flaunted the Spain colours and helped his home country win the UEFA European Championships in 2024.
The Statement further reads: “Everyone at Chelsea FC would like to thank Marc for his efforts during his time at the club and for the role he played in our recent achievements.
We wish him every success as he begins the next stage of his career.”
