President of the United States (US), Donald Trump, marked his 80th birthday on Sunday 14 June, 2026 with a cage fighting show on the South Lawn of the White House.
Top officials of the Trump administration were present at the fights, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio and House Speaker Mike Johnson.
Karol Nawrocki, President of Poland, was also at the White House.
It commenced with the US President and Dana White, UFC chief, walked together from the Oval Office to the Blue Room Balcony to survey the Octagon, standing for the national anthem as fighter jets thundered overhead.
Spectators in thousands crowded into the makeshift arena ‘The Claw’, a spaceship-like metal arch fitted with lights, sound equipment and large screens.
Thousands more watched on large screens from the nearby Eclipse.
The White House wrote on X: “Happy Birthday to the 45th and 47th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump. A relentless patriot who fights every day for the country he loves, the people he serves, and the American Dream.”
In his tribute to Trump on X, United States Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote: “Happy Birthday, Mr. President!
“Your unwavering leadership, courage, and commitment to the American people have inspired a renewed focus on the health and well-being of our nation.
“Thank you for your tireless dedication to protecting our children, confronting the chronic disease epidemic, and putting the interests of American families first.
“Wishing you a wonderful birthday and another year of strength, success, and service to our great nation.”
