Chelsea football club and Manager Liam Rosenior have parted company on Wednesday 22 April, 2026, the Premier League outfit announced via an official statement.
Rosenoir, who moved to Stamford Bridge from French Ligue 1 side, Strasbourg, was relieved of his managerial functions following poor run of the Blues.
The Blues, who are currently eighth (8th) on the Premier League table have recorded performances and results that are extremely below expectation.
Chelsea said via a statement: “Liam has always conducted himself with the highest integrity and professionalism following his appointment midway through the season.
“This has not been a decision the Club has taken lightly, however recent results and performances have fallen below the necessary standards with still so much more to play for this season.
“As the Club works to bring stability to the Head Coach position, we will undertake a process of self-reflection to make the right long-term appointment.”
Callum MacFarlane will take control of the Blues as head coach on temporary basis till the season concludes. MacFarlane will bask in the support of existing Club backroom staff, the Club said.
Chelsea, based in West London, will still fight to achieve European qualification and progress in the FA Cup.
