Kemi Badenoch criticizes Starmer’s deal with France on ‘migrants arriving via small boats’ to the UK

Kemi Badenoch, Leader of the Conservative Party, has expressed her displeasure at the deal struck by Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK) and French President, Emmanuel Macron, on “migrants arriving via small boats” to the UK.

The UK PM announced, his government has reached an agreement with France to “detain and return” migrants who enter the UK via small boats “in short order”.

Badenoch described the deal as a “national embarrassment”.

In her reaction, Badenoch said: “Starmer’s deal with France is smoke and mirrors. It would take nearly 3 months just to return the 573 people who arrived so far today.

“It’s a national embarrassment.

“Only Conservatives will end asylum claims for illegal immigrants & remove them immediately.”
