Michael Olise, Bayern Munich French winger, has emerged the Uefa Champions League Player Of The Week on Thursday 16 April, 2026.
The France international defeated Ousmane Dembele of Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG), Dani Olmo of Barcelona, and Martin Zubimendi of Arsenal to clinch the award.
This feat is coming following Olise’s heroics for Bayern Munich in the Uefa Champions League 2025/26 quarter final second leg against Real Madrid on Wednesday 15 April , 2026 in Germany; the Germans reached the last four with a 6-4 aggregate win.
Bayern Munich will face PSG in the semi finals with the first leg to take place on April 28, and the second leg to hold on May 6.
On the Player Of The Week list, Olise ranked first, Dembele second, Zubimendi and Olmo third and fourth respectively.
In its congratulatory message to Olise on X, Bayern Munich wrote: “UCL PLAYER OF THE WEEK.
“Congrats, Michael!”
Olise, twenty-four (24) years of age, moved to Allianz Arena from Premier League club, Crystal Palace in 2024. Since then, he has featured in more than sixty (60) games for the Bavarians and found the net more than twenty (20) times.
