According to Israel Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, “we are at war”.
PM Netanyahu’s statement is coming after Israel suffered a surprise attack from Palestinian militants known as Hamas in the early hours of Saturday 7 October, 2023.
Hamas’ surprise attack against Israel has led to the death of several Israeli citizens as well as many others taken hostage.
However, Israel has responded by launching ‘Operation Swords Of Iron’ to defend itself against Hamas.
IDF earlier identified “rockets launched from Lebanon aimed for Israel”, and now “launches from Syria” against Israel.
Israel’s retaliatory airstrikes has also killed several Palestinians numbering above nine hundred (900), and more than 4,000 injured.
IDF disclosed: “A number of launches from Syria aimed for Israel were identified a short while ago. Part of the launches crossed into Israeli territory and presumably fell in open areas.”
