NRS commissions corporate headquarters in Abuja

On Tuesday 14 April, 2026, the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) officially commissioned its “long-awaited” Corporate Headquarters at Plot 1241, Kur Mohammed Avenue, Central Area, Abuja, the NRS announced.

The Service described the event as a “landmark moment in Nigeria’s fiscal and institutional reform journey”.

The Commissioning of the edifice was graced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The President commissioned the headquarters and served as Chair of Honour.

The ceremony pulled together top personalities from government, the private sector and the development community to commemorate this “historic milestone”, the NRS said.

The NRS further said: “The completion of the NRS Headquarters stands as a testament to Nigeria’s commitment to building a more efficient, transparent, and future-ready revenue administration system.”

President Tinubu said on X, the NRS has burgeoned under the management of Dr. Zacch Adedeji into a “strong pillar” that “builds a more prosperous” Nigeria.

In his statement, President Tinubu said: “The Nigeria Revenue Service @NigeriaRevenue under the stewardship of Dr Zacch Adedeji has evolved to be a strong pillar of our administration’s drive to build a stronger, more prosperous Nigeria.

“Today’s commissioning of their new Headquarters, which had been left abandoned for more than two decades across several administrations, has set a new standard for continuity, discipline, and results in governance.

“We did not inherit excuses. We inherited responsibilities. And we will continue doing everything possible to meet them.”
