Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State, has inaugurated the Oyo Amotekun Board led by the Chairman, retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police Sikiru Kayode Akande on Monday 14 August, 2023.

Governor Makinde, in his remarks, “promised that our administration would continue to give Oyo Amotekun the maximum support they need”.
He said: “This afternoon, we inaugurated the Oyo Amotekun Board led by the Chairman, retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police Sikiru Kayode Akande. The new board will continue to make policy and administrative guidelines for the agency and ensure that the agency is functioning optimally.
“In my remarks at the event, I promised that our administration would continue to give Oyo Amotekun the maximum support they need as they collaborate with other security agencies to secure our dear State.”
