Oyetola welcomes Akpabio, Uzodimma, Yilwatda to Osun State ahead of Governorship Election

5th Executive Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola, has received top members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the State as the Governorship Election draws closer.

Oyetola welcomed Godswill Akpabio, President of the Nigerian Senate; Hope Uzodimma, Governor of Imo State; Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Governor of Ondo State; UBA Sani, Governor of Kaduna State; National Chairman of the APC, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda; other distinguished Governors; Party leaders, stakeholders, as well as, other dignitaries to the State for the Party’s Governorship campaign mega rally scheduled to hold at the Freedom Park in Osogbo, the State Capital on Thursday.

Taking to X, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, made known, he alongside his fellow Party members are focused on a “peaceful and successful” campaign event.

The Osun State Governorship Election will take place on Saturday 15 August, 2026.

Oyetola said: “As members and supporters of the APC family converge in Osogbo, we look forward to a peaceful, vibrant and successful campaign event.”

In his message on X, Yilwatda said, he sees victory for the ‘Broom’ Party and encouraged his Party members to “march with confidence” with the belief the Party will finish the race “victorious”.

Encouraging his Party members, Yilwatda said: “Our message is clear: victory is within sight!

“To every party member and supporter: your presence matters, your voice matters, and your vote matters.

“Let us march together with confidence, hope and determination. The road to victory is before us, and together, we will cross the finish line victorious.”
