The Bafana Bafana of South Africa defeated the Leopards of DR Congo in a penalty shootout 6-5 after a goalless draw on Saturday 10 February, 2024.
CAF said: “The bronze medal race ended in favor of South Africa after exciting penalties!”
Bafana Bafana wrote: “Thank you Mzanzi for your unwavering support and loyalty.
“Our AFCON 2023 journey comes to an end having finished in third position.”
