Governor of the State of California, Gavin Newsom, has expressed gratitude to outgoing President of the United States (US), Joe Biden, for standing by the State “in our toughest moments”.

Newsom said, President Biden stayed with California “right through to the end, as we battle and recover from the devastating fires in Los Angeles”.
President Joe Biden will hand over the White House to incoming US President, Donald Trump today.
Donald Trump will be inaugurated as 47th President of the US on Monday 20 January, 2025.
The Republican defeated Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party in the US Presidential Election 2024 which was conducted on Tuesday 5 November, 2024 to emerge the next President of America.
