Abubakar Malami, former Federal Minister of Justice of Nigeria, has emerged the Governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for Kebbi State for the 2027 General Elections.
This was contained in a statement signed by Malami’s special assistant on media, Mohammed Bello Doka, on Sunday 24 May, 2026.
According to the Statement, the former Attorney General of the Federation remains committed to “good governance” for the development of the Northwestern State and Nigeria.
The Statement reads: “I sincerely appreciate the confidence and support shown by leaders, stakeholders, and supporters of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kebbi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“We remain committed to purposeful leadership, good governance, justice, security, and sustainable development for Kebbi State and Nigeria as a whole.
“Together, with unity and determination, we shall build a more prosperous future for generations to come.”
Abubakar Malami SAN served as Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation under the Muhammadu Buhari administration from 2015 to 2023.
