Sen. Henry Seriake Dickson will inaugurate members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Selection Committee on Monday 25 May, 2026 at the NDC National Secretariat.
This was announced via a Press Statement on Monday, signed by Osa Director Esq, National Publicity Secretary, NDC.
The Press Statement reads: “Following the successful completion of its screening exercise for Governorship, National Assembly and state Houses of Assembly aspirants, the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) will on Monday, May 25, 2026, formally inaugurate the members of its recently empaneled Selection Committee.
“The Committee which was constituted last week, in furtherance of NDC’s avowed commitment to transparency, internal democracy, and credible candidate selection, is mandated to review, scrutinize, and consider the reports and recommendations of the National Screening Committee and the State Houses of Assembly Screening Committees, and to take appropriate decisions on the screening outcomes of all aspirants.”
The Selection Committee will be Chaired by NDC National Chairman, Sen. Moses Cleopas Zuwoghe.
The Committee is working in a coordinated fashion with the recommendations of the Party’s National Working Committee (NWC) as part of currently happening preparations for the 2027 General Elections.
The Press Statement further reads, the inauguration of the “21-member” Committee will take place at “4:00pm” and will be performed by the Party’s National Leader, Senator Dickson.
