Peter Obi, former Governor of Anambra State, made known, he hosted Mr. Gautier Mignot, European Union (EU) Ambassador to Nigeria, at his residence in Onitsha, Anambra State on Wednesday 22 April, 2026.
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) member described his meeting with Mr Mignot as *enriching”, saying, “some useful conversations” were shared.
Obi posted: “Today, Wednesday, I had the honour and privilege of hosting the European Union Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Mr. Gautier Mignot at my residence in Onitsha. It was an enriching meeting as we shared some useful conversations.”
Also, the 2023 Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, said, he visited Bauchi State, where he met with Governor Bala Mohammed on Thursday 23 April, 2026.
Obi said, he also met some “notable” Igbo Leaders in the Northeastern State, where they all had a “very insightful” conversation alongside the Governor.
The former Governor of Anambra State said on X, the aim of the meeting is to ensure a “United and secured” Nigeria.
Obi posted: “Today, in continuation of our consultations and collaboration efforts, I was in Bauchi state with some notable Igbo Leaders where we had a very insightful discussion with Governor Bala Mohammed.
“The mission is aimed at a United, Secured, productive and progressive Nigeria that cares for all, especially the less privileged.”
