Osun State ‘must never go back to those dark days’ – Governor Adeleke ahead of Guber Election

Ademola Adeleke, Executive Governor of Osun State, has called on the “good” people of the State to “brace up” for a little more while as the State gets ready for the forthcoming Governorship Election.

The Governor took to X to assure that, his government will not allow the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to plunge the State back to those days when civil servants were “beggars” and were feeding from hand to mouth.

He said, “We must never go back to those dark days.”

In a post he titled, ‘We will not allow APC to take Osun back to the days when civil servants had to beg their neighbours for food’, Adeleke said, those that “weaponized” poverty by paying “half salaries” to workers are “desperate” to clinch power again to “inflict more pain”.

“Those who once weaponized poverty by paying workers half salaries, leaving civil servants to struggle to feed their families, and denying our people access to basic necessities are desperate to return to inflict more pain.

“We must never go back to those dark days.”
