Ahead of the Premier League 2026/27 season, Argentine winger, Alejandro Garnacho, has completed a loan transfer from Chelsea FC To Aston Villa.
Via X, Chelsea expressed its best wishes to the player as he strengthens his game at Villa Park.
The deal by Aston Villa for Garnacho encompasses the obligation for a permanent move based on the number of appearances he makes.
Chelsea announced: “Alejandro Garnacho has completed a season-long loan move to Premier League club Aston Villa, with an obligation for the move to become permanent next summer should certain criteria be met.”
After moving to Stamford Bridge from Manchester United for £40 million ($54 million), Garnacho endured a disheartening year with the Blues.
He found the back of the net just eight (8) times for Chelsea after forty-three (43) appearances for the Club in all competitions; also, he was dumped out of the Argentina sqaud that reached the final of the World Cup.
Chelsea wrote: “We wish Alejandro the best as he continues his career at Aston Villa.”
Aston Villa have also made some signings which include, Johan Manzambi from German Bundesliga Club, Freiburg, for a club record fee; Joao Gomez from Championship Club, Wolverhampton Wanderers; and Modou Keba Cisse from LASK.
