Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich head coach, has reacted following his side’s exit from the Uefa Champions League 2025/26, saying, he is not giving up, and, will “try again” to win the trophy.
After he was seen out of the competition by Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG) following a 6-5 aggregate loss, the former Burnley manager said, “we will try again”.
Bayern Munich posted on X: “Heads up. Be proud.
“We gave everything we had, but it wasn’t meant to be. Proud of the boys”.
In his post-match reaction, Kompany said: “We have to respect the way we played against a great opponent. After this game, the Champions League is over for us, but another opportunity will come, and that is a big motivation for me. We will try again”.
England forward, Harry Kane, looked dejected after his hopes of lifting the Uefa Champions League trophy for the first time in his career got squashed after his side were unable to overturn the 5-4 loss they incurred against PSG in Paris last week.
PSG will now vie for the UCL trophy for the second time back-to-back when they lock horns with Arsenal in the final on May 30, 2026.
Arsenal clinched their place in the final for the first time in two (2) decades after a 2-1 aggregate victory over Atletico Madrid.
