Group G – Brazil successfully secured the number one spot of Group G and reached the last-16 of the FIFA World Cup 2022 despite a surprise lone goal defeat to Cameroon in their final group match at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar.

The South American will lock horns with South Korea in the last-16 of the tournament.

Vincent Aboubakar, deep in the stoppage time, scored for the Indomitable Lions through a header. It was the only goal scored in the encounter but it was not enough to help Cameroon progress into the knockouts.

Switzerland, in the other match of Group G, emerged victorious against Serbia, winning 3-2 at the Stadium 974 in Qatar.
