The Nigerian Apex Bank said, President Muhammadu Buhari’s broadcast of February 16, 2023, directs the CBN to “ONLY reissue and recirculate the old ₦200 banknotes as legal tender up to April 10, 2023”.
The CBN “advised media practitioners to PLEASE verify before publication”.
These statements were made via a Press Release by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) signed by the Director, Corporate Communications Department, Osita Nwanisobi.
