Real Madrid and Real Betis Balompié have agreed on the transfer of defender, Fran Garcia.
Fran Garcia joined Real Madrid in 2013 to play for the Cadete B team at a young age of fourteen (14), and in 2023, the left-back became a part of the Real Madrid first team, where he featured in 110 matches for the Los Blancos in three (3) seasons.
In its farewell to Garcia via a official statement on its official website, Real Madrid wrote:
Real Madrid wishes to express its gratitude and affection to a player who has always defended our jersey with dedication and exemplary behavior
Real Madrid, which will always be his home, wishes Fran García and his family all the best in this new stage of their lives.
Newly reappointed manager, Jose Mourinho, has already kicked off duties at the Club’s official training complex, the Ciudad Real Madrid.
Mourinho, who returned to Santiago Bernabeu from Portuguese top flight club, Benfica, has met with his coaching staff to commence preparations for the 2026/27 season.
The team is expected to begin pre-season with medical check-ups on Monday.
Portuguese pro football manager, Jose Mourinho, had his first spell as head coach of Real Madrid in three (3) years, from 2010 to 2013; he won the La Liga 2011/12, Copa Del Rey 2010/11 and Supercopa de España 2012.
Real Madrid finished the La Liga 2025/26 behind Winners, Barcelona, after amassing a total of eighty-six (86) points, eight (8) points next to Hansi Flick’s Catalans.
