The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has officially received the “duly” completed Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Presidential nominations forms of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President, Kashim Shettima, ahead of the 2027 Nigeria General Elections.
This was announced by the Party via a statement on Friday 10 July, 2026.
The APC announced: “Today, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, formally received the duly completed Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) presidential nomination forms of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Vice President Kashim Shettima, GCON, ahead of the 2027 General Election.”
Hon. Ibrahim Masari, President Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, presented the nomination forms to the APC Chief on behalf of the President.
The event was graced by Governors under the ‘Broom’ Party led by Governor Hope Uzodimma, Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum and Executive Governor of Imo State.
The Party further announced: “The nomination forms were presented on behalf of President Tinubu by his Special Adviser on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Masari, during a well-attended ceremony in Abuja.”
Members of the National Working Committee (NWC), Caucus of the APC in the National Assembly (NASS), members of the Federal Executive Council, and other Party leaders and stakeholders, were also at the event which took place in Abuja.
