Ukraine At 33: ‘Britain will always stand with Ukraine’ – UK PM Starmer

Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom (UK), has assured Ukrainians “Britain will always stand with Ukraine”.

Starmer made the statement on Ukraine’s Independence Day, today, Saturday 24 August, 2024; Ukraine gained independence on 24 August, 1991.

According to UK PM Starmer: “Britain will always stand with Ukraine.

 

On your day of independence, we share a clear message: 


We will continue to stand with you – because that is what the people of Ukraine deserve.  


Slava Ukraini.”

President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, replied: “Thank you, dear @Keir_Starmer, for your strong support and commitment to Ukraine. The United Kingdom has been and continues to be Ukraine’s trusted ally. Together, we are upholding the very principles of democracy, freedom, and justice that unite our nations.”
