Manchester United English forward, Marcus Rashford, has suffered an injury while fielding in the Premier League game against Fulham on Sunday at Craven Cottage in London.
The game ended with both sides sharing the spoils following a 1-1 result.
In his post-draw comments, Michael Carrick, head coach of Manchester United, revealed, the forward, was substituted after picking up an “issue”, according to Manchester United official website.
The England international was hurt in the first half on the left flank, and floored following a challenge from Timothy Castagne; the Belgian defender was yellow carded for the foul.
Rashford was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee in the 77th minute.
At Craven Cottage, after the match, Carrick told beIN Sport when asked if Rashford was fine: “I’m not sure.
“We had to bring him off as he had a bit of an issue.”
Carrick added: “Marcus was a threat. He could have had a couple of goals for us today. We know Marcus. We know how to get the best out of him and will continue to do that.”
At his post-Fulham presser, Carrick confirmed Benjamin Sesko’s injury that kept him away from action in the Reds’ game at Fulham. He also expressed hope in the return of Ivorian winger, Amad, following the international break.
Also, Dutch defender, Matthijs de Ligt, is working to recover fully and make himself available for the 20-time Premier League Champions.
Carrick said: “Amad, hopefully by the time we get back, he will have trained with the group. That’s a positive. Matta is working towards his fitness as well.”
