Hannatu Musa Musawa, Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism and the Creative Economy, presented a drawing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu made of him and his late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, on Saturday 3 October, 2026.
The drawing was presented to the President following his return from his holiday in Europe, as well as, the end of the National Premiere of the documentary of MKO Abiola.
The Minister announce via X, drawing is her “hobby”, saying, what she presented to the President was made by her, and was “deeply personal” to her.
Minister Musawa said: “This evening, I paid a courtesy call on His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR @officialABAT following his return and the conclusion of the National Premiere of the MKO Abiola documentary.”
She said, the inspiration for the drawing came from the “special place a mother holds in the life of a child”, and how Tinubu “supported” her when she lost her own mother.
Musawa said: “During the visit, I had the privilege of presenting Mr. President with a drawing I made of him and his late mother. I draw as a hobby, but this particular piece was deeply personal to me.
“It was inspired by the special place a mother holds in the life of a child and, more personally, by the support Mr. President showed me during the difficult period following the loss of my own mother.”
The Minister expressed “deep” appreciation to the President for his non-stop support towards her, and prayed for divine wisdom for the President to lead Nigeria.

She said: “I am deeply grateful to Mr. President for his continued support and kindness towards me. I pray that Almighty God continues to grant him wisdom, strength and guidance as he leads our nation.”
Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji
Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji was the mother of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, current President of Nigeria, who assumed Office in 2023.
She was a noticeable market leader and businesswoman.
Alhaja Mogaji passed on at the age of ninety-six (96) in June, 2013.
She exercised huge influence in grassroots politics, as well as, business, as she served as the Iyálójà of Lagos and the President-General of the Association of Nigerian Market Women and Men.
She passed on at her house in Ikeja, Lagos State.
