The International Court of Justice in the Hague, Netherlands has refused the request by South Africa to postpone the deadline to put forth evidence which reveals alleged genocide in Gaza, as reported by Israeli media on Thursday.
The South Africa against Israel matter is an ongoing case brought before the ICJ in December, 2023 by South Africa as regards Israel’s conduct in the Gaza Strip during the fighting between Israel and Palestinian fighters, known as, Hamas.
The fighting between Israel and Hamas started on Saturday 7 October, 2023 after Hamas launched a surprise attack on the Southern region of Israel, killing thousands of Israelis, and taking many others hostage.
Israel’s retaliatory military actions against Hamas in Gaza has resulted to the death of more than 40,000 people, with tens of thousands inflicted with various degrees of injuries.
