Holy Kaaba
The Holy Kaaba is a stone building (cube in shape) at the centre of Islam’s most vital mosque and holiest site, the Masjid al-Haram in the city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia.
Muslims regard it as the House of God and determines the Arabic direction that Muslims will face during their daily prayers (Qibla) for Muslims all over the world.
The interior of the Holy Kaaba contains an intermediate floor space with three wooden pillars that support the roof, hanging lamps, and scent-storage cabinets. It is mostly closed to the public and opened only on sporadic occasions.
