Delegation of clergy visit Governor Uzodimma, express gratitude for restoring security in Imo State

A delegation of the clergy paid Governor Hope Uzodimma a visit to express their appreciation for governance across Imo State and bringing back security across the Southeastern State.

Announcing on X, Uzodimma said: “I received a delegation of the clergy from Okigwe Zone, who visited to express appreciation for our governance across Imo State, particularly in restoring and strengthening security across the zone and the State.”

The Governor said, with the Church playing its role as the “moral conscience of society”, the partnership between Government and the Church has always brought about “peace and development” in Imo State.

Uzodimma said: “With the Church serving as the moral conscience of society, the collaboration between Government and the Church has continued to contribute to the sustenance of peace and development in our dear Imo State.”

The delegation comprised of the Catholic, Anglican and Methodists Churches. The Governor urged them to always remember his administration and that of President Tinubu in their prayers.

The Governor said, the visit by the delegation “reflected unity and support for the growth of our State”.

He added, “I encouraged them to continue praying for my administration and that of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as we advance shared prosperity.”

Hope Uzodimma has been serving as Governor of Imo State since 2020; he is currently running his second term after gaining reelection in 2024.
