After just forty-four (44) days in charge, Croatian football manager, Igor Tudor, has departed Premier League club, Tottenham Hotspur, on mutual agreement.
Tottneham made known via a statement on X: “We can confirm that it has been mutually agreed for Head Coach Igor Tudor to leave the Club with immediate effect.”
The decision is coming few days after a humiliating 3-0 loss in the hands of fellow struggling side, Nottingham Forest, on 22 March.
The outcome against the Tricky Trees left Spurs on the 17th spot of the table and just one (1) point above the red zone with seven (7) encounters left.
Since Tudor took over managerial duties at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in February from Dutch manager, Thomas Frank, the Spurs have suffered five (5) defeats in seven (7) games.
Tottenham also made known, assistant coaches, Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci, have also left the Club.
A new manager will be announced in “due course” the club said.
Tottneham Hotspur said: “Tomislav Rogic and Riccardo Ragnacci have also left their respective roles of Goalkeeping Coach and Physical Coach.
“We thank Igor, Tomislav and Riccardo for their efforts during the past six weeks, in which they worked tirelessly.
“An update on a new Head Coach will be provided in due course.”
Bruno Saltor, Tudor’s assistant, will oversee training at the club on interim basis.
Tudor, who moved to Tottenham Hotspur from Italian Serie A club, Juventus, lost all his first four (4) games as Spurs manager – the opening loss was slammed on him by North London rivals, Arsenal, it was then followed by losses to Fulham, Crystal Palace and a crushing 5-2 Uefa Champions League 2025/26 last 16 first leg defeat to Atletico Madrid at Metropolitano Stadium in Spain.
Tottenham will resume their top flight campaign on the road after the conclusion of the international break when they lock horns with Sunderland, who are 11th, on 12 April, 2026.
