Dalori assumes office as new Acting APC National Chairman

Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori has assumed office as new Acting National Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) on Monday 30 June, 2025.

Dalori is assuming the office following the resignation of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, CON, on Friday 27 June, 2025.

Dalori has already commented duties by presiding over a meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.

Ganduje cited health concerns as reason for his immediate resignation from the ‘Broom’ Party.

APC announced on X: “The new acting APC National Chairman, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori, on Monday, assumed office and is presently presiding over a meeting of the National Working Committee at the Party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.”

Former Governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, hailed Ganduje following his resignation to take care of himself healthwise, saying, other political leaders who are suffering health challenges should follow the former Kano State Governor’s step.

Obi described Ganduje’s decision to resign from the ruling APC as “wise and honourable”.
