Harry Kane inspires Bayern Munich to 2-1 triumph over Boca Juniors in FIFA Club World Cup

English forward, Harry Kane, led German Bundesliga 2024/25 Winners, Bayern Munich, to a fine 2-1 victory over Argentine club, Boca Juniors, in their second Group C encounter in the FIFA Club World Cup on Friday 20 June, 2025.

The clash which held at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida, United States, was sealed by goals from Harry Kane and French attacking midfielder, Michael Olise, for Bayern.

Kane netted the first goal for Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians in the 18th minute, but, the Argentine side fought back and levelled through M. Merentiel in the 66th.

Olise converted Kane’s assist in the 84th minute to seal victory for Bayern Munich, who are the reigning German Kings and five-time European champions.

Boca Juniors, who are currently second midway through the Argentinian season, have clinched twenty-two (22) continental crowns in South America.

It was largely established that Boca Juniors would play a rough game on Friday, and they surely followed through on that. Sliding tackles, pushes, rough challenges, off the ball fouls, the Argentine club exhibited all in their actions.

The referee was sadly gullible enough to not call most of the fouls and show enough yellow cards.

The German side fought really hard all through the game, and Michael Olise had a pretty average game which included a dispossession that led to Boca’s goal.

However, the Frenchman managed to score from a corner which was struck out for a foul on the goalkeeper and squeezed out a goal and placed Bayern Munich ahead late into the game.
