The Spaniard made the statement at his press conference ahead of the Uefa Champions League 2024/25 League Phase match between Barcelona and Brest on Tuesday 26 November, 2024 at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys at 21:00 (WAT).
He added, if the Catalans “relax”, then, they will definitely “pay dearly”.
In Hansi Flick’s most recent match, Barca were held to a 2-2 draw by Celta Vigo in La Liga 2024/25 match on Saturday 23 November, 2024.
Martinez said:

“We are facing a very tough opponent. If we relax, we will pay dearly. I hope we can show our level and get the three points to stay in the upper echelon of the table.”
He continued: “The team’s defensive work is exceptional. If we bring the pressure, it’ll be hard for Brest to create scoring chances against us.
“I try to help the youngsters all the time, so that they can feel comfortable and have fun.
“I’m enjoying the minutes that the coach is giving me. I always give 100% for the team.
“Our mentality has to be to win every game.
“We are thrilled with Iñaki Peña. He is showing how good he is and he gives us confidence.”
