National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, announced, he alongside Party supporters in their thousands received former Governor of Kano State, Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya, into the ‘Broom’ Party.
He said, “KANO IS APC!”
Taking to X, Yilwatda described the scene as a “political tsunami”, and a moment that is “electrifying” as they welcomed more than “100,000” defectors from various Parties.
Yilwatda said: “What an electrifying moment today at the Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano, as we welcomed a political tsunami into the All Progressives Congress (APC)!”
He announced: “I joined thousands of party faithful and supporters to receive former Kano State Governor and former Senator representing Kano South, Senator Kabiru Ibrahim Gaya (Mai Al-Ummah), alongside Senator Rufa’i Sani Hanga, associates of Dr. Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, and over 100,000 defectors from various political parties into our great party.”
The APC Chief described the “sheer size” of those that converged as “unmistakable”, saying, the governing Party is “growing stronger” in Kano.
Yilwatda said: “The sheer size, enthusiasm and energy of the gathering were unmistakable: the APC is expanding, consolidating and growing stronger in Kano.”
He said, the rally is a “political statement” that reveals the direction of the 2027 Elections, adding, Kano, APC and Nigeria are “ready”.
According to Yilwatda: “This is more than a rally. It is a powerful statement about where the political momentum is heading ahead of 2027.
