The World Trade Organization (WTO), an intergovernmental Organization was formed on 1 January, 1995.
Its purpose is reduction of tariffs and other barriers to trade; with its headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.
WTO Director-General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, wrote: “A successful day of reflections with a packed hall of ministers, ambassadors, delegates and staff marking the WTO@30.
