Elon Musk lifts Donald Trump Twitter ban

After running a poll in which users slightly supported the move, new Twitter Boss, Elon Musk has said that former US President Donald Trump’s account has been “reinstated”.

Mr Musk disclosed on his official Twitter account, “the people have spoken”. He said, 51.8% of more than 15 million Twitter users casted their votes for the ban to be lifted.

Due to the risk of incitement of violence, in 2021, the former United States president’s Twitter account was banned.

However, Donald Trump may not make a return to the platform, saying earlier: “I don’t see any reason for it”.

Not only on twitter, Trump’s accounts on other social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram and YouTube – which had tens of millions of followers were all suspended.

Because “The people have spoken”, Elon Musk had no other choice than to announce “Trump will be reinstated” ⬇️

He launched his own social media platform, Truth Social, several months after.

Trump, who is a member of the Republican Party, announced earlier his intention to run for the US presidency in 2024.

Billionaire, Elon Musk took charge of Twitter in October in a $44b deal.
