Colorado Shooting: Five killed at gay club

Five people have lost their lives and 18 others left with various degrees of injuries after a gunman opened fire inside a gay night club in the US state of Colorado on the night of Saturday.

According to police, a suspect is in custody and receiving medical attention for injuries.

A statement released on Facebook by Club Q in Colorado Springs says, it was “devastated by the senseless attack on our community”, as well as showing gratitude to customers who “subdued” the gunman.

The statement thanked “the quick reactions of heroic customers that subdued the gunman and ended this hate attack”.

When police entered the club, the suspect was found inside.
