‘Dangerously exposed to foreign interference’ – Trump releases documents on ‘integrity of America’s elections’

United States (US) President, Donald Trump, has released documents on the “integrity of America’s elections”.

He said, for many years, he has called for “decisive actions” to protect the “integrity” of the Country’s elections.

Via Truth Social, the 45th and 47th US President said, the American election system “falls catastrophically short” of accuracy as he called for a system where “cheating and interference are virtually impossible”.

He added, the evidence reveals the election system in the US is “dangerously exposed to hacking and foreign interference”.

President Trump posted: “For many years, I have called for bold, swift, and decisive action to protect the integrity of America’s elections.

“Every American deserves to know that when they cast their vote, that vote will be counted accurately in a system that is secure—one where cheating and interference are not just difficult, but virtually impossible.

“Unfortunately, the system we have today falls catastrophically short of that standard. Tonight, I am announcing the immediate declassification and release of critical intelligence revealing shocking vulnerabilities in our election infrastructure.

“This evidence shows that the election system we have is dangerously exposed to hacking, exploitation, and foreign interference.

“Just as disturbingly, this vital information has for many years been covered up and hidden from you, the American People, and that changes right now.

“The documents we will release starting tonight have been gathered by the White House Government Transparency Task Force,

“along with the staff of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board—supported by our top intelligence agency chiefs, who have all personally reviewed the findings we are presenting this evening, and fully confirmed their authenticity.”
