‘It’s shameful pleading for a criminal’ – DCP Adejobi

Deputy Commisioner of Police (DCP), Prince Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said, he always keeps to his “stance and policies” when it comes to confronting “crimes and criminality”.

He warned on X, no one should “bother to contact me, pleading for a criminal”, saying, “it is shameful” for anyone to do that.

Adejobi, who is serving as Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations for the Delta State Police Command, posted: “I always maintain my stance and principles when it comes to fighting crimes and criminality. Dont even bother to contact me, pleading for a criminal. Its shameful, and it wont work out well.”

He said, anyone “begging” the Police to “release or pardon a criminal is also a criminal”.

Adejobi, who formerly served as Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Force Headquarters, Abuja, added, there is the need to “stand firm” in restraining crime in our society.

He further posted: “Anyone begging and mounting pressure on the police and security agencies to release or pardon a criminal or overlook a crimes is also a criminal.

“No two ways about it. Check yourself. We need to stand firm, remain resolute in curbing crimes and vices in our society, collectively.”
