Bayern Munich have clinched the first silverware of the German season, with Harry Kane and Luis Diaz finding the back of the net in their German Super Cup 2025 triumph.
Colombian left winger and new addition from Liverpool, Luis Diaz, netted his first goal for Bayern Munich as the German Bundesliga 2024/25 Winners discomfited Stuttgart 2-1 to secure the German Super Cup on Saturday 16 August, 2025.
English forward, Harry Kane, was also on target for Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians, who scaled through at MHPArena to land the first silverware of the German season.
Manuel Neuer rescued Bayern Munich in both halves, denying Nick Woltemade from close range, then doing beautifully to tip over Jamie Leweling’s deflected long-range effort.
Diaz marked his first goal for the Bavarians by replicating the scoring celebration made iconic by his late former Liverpool team-mate Diogo Jota.
Leweling scored an additional time consolation when he headed in from Chema Andres’ centre, however, Bayern held out for the trophy.
