Executive Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, welcomed literary icon and award winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, to the government house.
The Governor described Chimamanda as “a formidable force of inspiration”, and said, “she has addressed complex issues” using her “brilliant and courageous art of storytelling”.
Governor Mbah wrote on X: “I was thrilled to welcome our very own literary icon and award winning author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, to the Government House.
“Her visit was a memorable one.
“Adichie is a formidable force of inspiration. Through her brilliant and courageous art of storytelling, she has addressed complex issues and expanded minds across continents.
“A proud ambassador of the Igbo culture who continues to elevate African narratives on the global stage. Her presence was a strong reminder of the greatness that lies within our people, and we were deeply honoured to host her.
“Odeluwa, thanks for coming!”
