Leader of the Conservative Party, Kemi Badenoch, has slammed the Labour government, saying, “Labour isn’t working — Britain’s paying the price.”
Badenoch, who previously served in the Cabinet under prime ministers Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak from 2022 to 2024, said, “Unemployment is up 10% under Labour…and rising.”
The former President of the Board of Trade made the statement at the PMQs; she said, “a 180-year-old store gone after Reeves’s budget.”

“Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Santander cutting jobs. A 180-year-old store gone after Reeves’s budget. Every Labour gov has left unemployment higher. This one’s no different.
“Labour isn’t working — Britain’s paying the price.”
