Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Kristalina Georgieva, has commended President of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his administration’s “decisive action to reform the economy, accelerate growth and generate jobs for its vibrant population”.

The IMF Chief made the commendation at an “excellent meeting” with the Nigerian President at the G20 Leaders Summit 2024 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Georgieva said: “Excellent meeting with President @officialABAT at the #G20 Summit. Commended Nigeria’s decisive actions to reform the economy, accelerate growth and generate jobs for its vibrant population. The IMF strongly supports Nigeria on this journey.”
